Coach Development Pathway

Are you an ambitious individual, male or female, who is interested in taking the first step onto the football coaching ladder? If so, then Northend United is the Club for you.

This is an exciting period for our Club and we are on the lookout for new talented coaches to join us on our journey to coaching excellence. Due to a vast increase in player numbers, we plan to field a number of new teams for the 2015/16 season.

As a new coach you will embark on our Club's 'Coach Development Pathway', which consists of guided practical experience under one of our senior coaches, in Club training and formal coaching qualifications. The Club is fully committed to Coach Education and will provide opportunities to attain formal coaching qualifications through the Irish Football Association and Coerver Coaching.

In return for your time, you will receive a rewarding career ladder in coaching with opportunities for progression onto our Parent Club, Wakehurst FC. All initial enquiries should be made in the first instance to John Devlin on 07919 056834

Open Nights - Tuesday 16th and Wednesday 17th June

The Club's Open Nights are as follows at Eaton Park, starting at 6.30pm each night

Tuesday 16th June 2007 to 2003 6.30pm to 8.30pm

Wednesday 17th June 1999 to 2002 6.30pm to 8.30pm

All new players will be most welome

Club Condolences

All at Northend United Youth FC were saddened to hear of the passing of our good friend Wes Gregg and would like to pass on our condolences to the Gregg family at this very sad time.

Wes was a true gentleman who we at Northend were privileged to work with and he will be a big loss to grassroots football in the community.

Quiz Night - Thursday 12th February 2015

Northend United Youth are holding a Table Quiz on Thursday 12th February at Connolly's Pub, Dunvale, Ballymena, commencing at 7.30pm.

Northend United Youth would appreciate as much support as possible from players, their families, friends, coaches and supporters. The Quizmaster is our very own Johnny Sayers so why not come along for a great night's craic?

Golf Fundraising Day - Sunday 5th October

Northend's Annual Golf Fundraising day will this year be held on Sunday 5th October at the Galgorm Golf Club. Entry fee is £25/person and with tee-times from 10.30am to 2.00pm, slots are filling up fast. Please contact Rodney on 0774 2075529 to reserve yourself a slot.

Tracksuits and Training Gear

Tracksuits and training gear are now available to collect from each team coach for all those who have paid full registration fee. Rodney will be at Showgrounds 3 and Eaton Park on Monday 8th September to measure any outstanding players, who have just registered with the Club.

Registration Evening - Thursday 7th August

Just a reminder that the registration evening is on Thursday 7th August at the Michelin Club for all U9 to U16 teams teams as follows:

U9s to U12s - 7.00pm to 8.00pm

U13s to U16s - 8.00pm to 9.00pm

Its important everyone attends to get the sizes for the new tracksuits and training gear

New Season Arrangements

Fielding no less than twelve youth teams for the incoming football season, ranging in age from U8 to U16, all the Northend United teams are looking forward to getting back to pre-season training which will start week commencing Monday 4th August at the Ballymena Showgrounds Pitch 3 and Pitch 6 as follows:

U8s, U9s and U10s - Showgrounds 3 from 6.00am to 7.30pm

U11s and U12s - Showgrounds 6 from 6.00am to 7.30pm

U14s, U15s - Showgrounds 6 from 7.30pm to 9.00pm

U13s, U16s - Showgrounds 3 from 7.30pm to 9.00pm

With a number of additions already to each of the teams, following a series of successful Open nights, all at Wakehurst Academy Club are looking forward to a super season that sees five of the Teams competing in the Lisburn Invitational Youth League, U12s, U13s, U14s, U15s and U16s, and the seven youngest teams in the small sided games environment of the North West and Coleraine and District Youth League and Ballymoney Friendship League.

The ambitious Northend United Club are always on the lookout for new talented players and coaching assistants for each of their youth teams and with their partnership with Wakehurst FC, the Club can offer the benefits of local Irish League football, something a number of other Clubs cannot offer.

As always, training will be supervised at all times by IFA qualified coaches, with all the younger teams being coached by Coerver qualified coaches, and everyone will be made to feel most welcome
